• Color, Color, Color!

  I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for your generous and selfless donations to my classroom. It is through your giving that my students are able to use paints in every skin tone and hue. When painting self portraits, or pictures of their family, they are able to recognize and represent themselves in a real and important way. Representation matters so much in this current social and political climate and it is important for students of all ages to recognize this in their art.”

• Paint, Paint, Paint

It is because of your willingness to give that my students are able to paint using colors that were once unavailable to them. These supplies, purchased by you, have allowed my students to paint flowers, tigers, fish, and even dabble in abstract design. • Why Cut When You Can Cricut?

  Thank you so much for your much appreciated generosity and willingness to provide my students with the supplies and funds that allow them to create without limits. Due to the original item I ordered not being in stock, I had to replace the bulk of my items with other classroom necessities such as paint palettes in a wide variety of shades and colors. My students have been using these paints to create visual masterpieces that are a direct result of your involvement and investment in their learning.”

• Paint With All the Colors of the Wind

• LEGO Go Getters

  Despite not being a traditional form of art, Legos help students recognize shapes, use abstract thought, and practice spatial reasoning. They are a great tool for kinesthetic learners and a fan favorite for early finishers.

  Legos also provide students with an opportunity to collaborate, socialize, and positively interact with one another. Thank you so much and I'm sure the kids will enjoy them!”

• Art Teacher Without Desk

  At the beginning of the year, due to the pandemic and starting at a new school, I had an empty classroom and a desk the size of a TV tray. Doing anything creative or artistic on a desk of that size was impossible considering I also needed to fit a computer and document camera on the small surface.

• Comfort Promotes Creativity

  Having these fluorescent light covers allows students to work in a calm, comforting, and soothing environment. Naked fluorescent lights can have a harsh glare and cause headaches in some children, neither of which are conducive to creativity. The ambiance created in my classroom is one of relaxing calm.”
