Today They Read, Tomorrow They Lead
Funded Jan 21, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity toward my class! They are sincerely going to love all of these books. I am so happy to have these for my students and it means so much to come from a retired teacher because you know what it’s like to want the best for your students. Thanks again!”

Fun Learning With Math Games
Funded Sep 14, 2021We are so grateful for your contribution to our classroom! We are using these resources everyday to learn new things in math class. My students and I were equally as excited to see our packages arrive!
Your generosity has helped each of my students gain real world knowledge by counting money. Each student has counted out coins in order to complete classroom projects such as buying cookies for Christmas and toys for other children. They are always so excited to use hands on materials.
We have also loved to use the clear spinners. They have helped us to play games while learning about money, addition and subtraction, and telling time. They make any math lesson so much more fun when it is turned into a game!
Thank you again so much for helping my students to learn! We are creating life long learners in my classroom!”

LEGO Math
Funded Jan 7, 2020Fractions are a very hard concept for students as young as third grade to understand. First, they must see them as pictures, not numbers. They do not understand at this point anything about a fraction as a number. In third grade we start out teaching them about fractions as pictures. For example, I may show them a whole circle representing a pizza. I may draw a line in the middle cutting it into two equal pieces and ask students what this would represent. Most of the time they can say it's cut in half, but they do not recognize this as 1/2.
I thought that students would have a lot of fun learning fractions with legos. They could put together as I instructed and see the different colored fractions right away. They could then build up their own creations and find equivalent fractions! I was so excited for my students to be able to have fun learning a very hard concept.
I also could write on these legos with dry erase markers and students could find different fractions. All in all, these legos would be used to help students SEE fractions for what they really are and not think of them as such a hard concept to learn. Thank you so much for your love and support to my classroom!”

Funded Aug 3, 2019Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom! We are so very thankful for each contribution to getting these writing tablets to use in our math classroom
We use these tablets every single day in our math classroom whether it be for working out problems, drawing pictures to help us better understand problems, or for a few minutes of fun time. We utilize them in the place of scrap paper most of the time in our classroom and when we go to the computer lab for online programs. It saves us so much money and helps us help the environment by not wasting as much paper.
My students were so excited when they first learned about your contributions! They were even more excited to see their new tablets to work on. Thank you again so much for helping each student in my classroom to be more successful!”

Funded Apr 22, 2018Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. After recent events in the US and beyond, I felt the need to raise money and awareness for my students' safety. We are very blessed to be living in a small town and go to a school where the leaders and administration are taking steps to improve our safety! Your donation has pushed these efforts much further!
Your donation bought our classroom a Barracuda Intruder Defense System. We can use this device in the event of an intruder in our school. This system is easy to use and will greatly improve our safety!
Again, we are greatly appreciative of your donation to our safety! As a teacher, it is my number one job to keep my students safe and I feel much better about being able to do so with your wonderful donated product! Thank you so much!”

Mrs. Turner
