  • Snacks for Hungry Special Education Students

    Funded May 13, 2024

Thank you so much for donating money towards this project, which is providing snacks to the 400+ students in my school. Not only are these snacks in the Special Education classroom, but I have shared them with the counselor's office, front office, administration office, as well as a number of general education classrooms.

When students are hungry it is so hard for them to learn. For many of our students what they eat at school is what they eat for the day. So offering them non sugary snacks is significant.

Thank you for making this happen!”

  • Sensory Needs for Special Education Classroom

    Funded Jan 29, 2024

The students that I work with need to have a lot of motivations to stay calm, to do their work, and to participate in group and classroom settings. The calming sensory items that the project provided help motivate them to do all of these things.

I have shared these items all over the school building in calming corners, counselor's office, secretaries office, and classrooms. So all over the school are these items that are helping our students find success in their everyday lives thanks to your donation.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bordine

  • Visual Timers for Classrooms for Our Entire School Building

    Funded Jan 18, 2024

Your donation has given teachers in our entire school large visual magnetic timers for their classrooms. This allows them to help students stay focused for the specific amounts of time, keep track of how much time remains for a specific event in the day, and know how much time remains until the next event of the day. These timers especially help students with anxiety, students that struggle to stay on task, or students that need help following a schedule.

Thank you so much for helping me make a huge difference in our school.”

  • Hungry Special Education Students

    Funded Nov 13, 2023

Student seem to be constantly hungry. I remember being the same. When they are hungry it is hard for them to think, process, and retain information. So I try to always have non sugary snacks around to keep them from being hungry. While I have usually handled most of this out of my pocketbook, it has been so helpful for your support in helping make this happen!

The students school wide have benefited from you generosity. There were enough snacks in this donation to share with the office staff, counselor and other people in the school that are constantly being asked for snacks.

Thank you so much for your generous donation and for making these snacks available for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bordine

  • Visual Timers for Classrooms for Our Entire School Building

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

All the teachers in our building were given a large magnetic Visual timer to use in their classrooms. When asked teachers have reported using them throughout the day. They use them to remind students when a transition is coming, when the next subject will start, or when it is time to rotate or move spaces.

The teachers are very excited to have them in their classrooms. I attached a few pictures that teachers sent to me, but everyone of them has one in their classroom. Thank you so much for helping me make this a reality for all of our students.”

    Mrs. Bordine
