    Thank you so much for this donation!! I cannot wait until our autism awareness day on April 18th! Students will have the opportunity to learn about their peers who may have autism. Teachers will have the opportunity to receive gifts from this project that they can take back to their classrooms and share with their students.   • Special Needs Resource Closet

    Thank you so much for this donation! It has already reached so many students! The ECE teachers have been able to visit the closet and "shop" for items that will benefit specific student in there caseload. It has been an opportunity for them to try a variety of resources with their students to see what best supports their needs. This has also encouraged regular education teachers to use a variety of different items to support students with disabilities who may be in the regular education classes as well!”

  • Field Trip on Wheels

    Thank you so much for your donation for my project. My students were so excited to see that we have our own class wagon for when we go on field trips and walks. This will make our trips much more accessible for my students who have difficulty with walking long distances.

    We go on walking field trips once a week and take a walk on most school days. Some of my students who struggle walking long distances will enjoy these trips so much more because this wagon will allow them to take breaks when needed.

  • Clean and Healthy Classroom

    This project is a huge help for my classroom and taking some of the financial burden off of me as the classroom teacher. Being in a self contained classroom often times required extra cleaning materials and other items to keep the classroom running and to make sure the student's needs are met.

    This project will ensure that my students have all of the items that they need while they are at school. It will also ensure a clean classroom so that students are able to stay healthy so that they do not miss school.”

My students persevere each and every day when they are working on math and reading tasks. I teach six hardworking students who are willing to do their best each day. Despite their hard work, it is difficult for my students to engage in academic tasks. Technology is one thing that each of my students find engaging regardless of the task being displayed on the device. Incorporating an iPad into my classroom will help math and reading come alive for my students! Students will be engaged in their learning and excited to participate in math and reading groups. They will look forward to learning their numbers and letters on an iPad rather than using flashcards. My students' will excel in their academic goals once they are able to use their new iPad to engage in their learning!

About my class
