In my classroom students are excited to see the new up and coming educational resources that they can use to enhance their learning. They are constantly telling me that they tried this app and this game on their iPads at home. I am hoping to bring that excitement into my classroom this year. I am hoping to allow students to use these resources during their center time as well as working with parents one on one to figure out math facts or practice reading fluency. I also would like to use them as a reward system for students who are quick finishers to be allowed extra time to work on iPads to extend their thinking and skills. I would hope to also use it to teach new words and vocabulary to my ESL students and allow them a new way of learning English through technology. I also hope to be able to get students outside and use the iPad to increase their movement skills. Where we can take a regular paper pencil lesson and turn it into a movement lesson. Such as with adjectives I could have them dance describing words to different types of music. Or to be able to have them move in the way an animal might move in their habitat. To allow them to dance an addition math problem to the beat of a song.
