  • Flexible Seating For The Win!

    Funded Apr 18, 2020

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life. I can’t wait to see my students enjoying this sofa as they are reading their favorite books or writing their stories! I love being able to provide my students with flexible seating options! They are going to love it!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Welch

  • Stand. Move. Learn.

    Funded Mar 22, 2018

Thank you so much for helping our project become a reality. Having a standing desk in the classroom has been a game changer for our busy little bodies. The students know that this is available to them when they feel that a chair isn't going to be helpful. The students were so excited when they saw that the standing desk was put together. They all wanted a turn standing at it. We had to write up a schedule! We now know when we are able to use this desk and that it is there for students who need to move while they are learning. I would like to continue to build up our flexible seating. Again, thank you for your contribution to our project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Welch

  • All the "Write" Supplies for our 1st Grade Authors!

    Funded Aug 28, 2018

Thank you to all who helped make our project become a reality in our classroom. The students really like the cute erasers and the markers. They also enjoy using the staplers during writing workshop. Having an abundance of supplies has enabled the kids to have materials at all of the tables.

The students were so excited to receive the materials. We sat in a big circle and opened all of them together. They were then able to explore with the new materials. The doorbell has also been a great addition to our classroom. It is a great tool to use when transitioning to new activities. The students really respond well to it.

The next project that we will be creating is a hardcover published classroom book. The students will be able to use the fine point markers to add important details to their illustrations. Thank you again for making another project come to life.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Welch

  • "Easel"y Accessible

    Funded Dec 25, 2017

My students and fellow co-teachers are so excited about having the new interactive easel in our classroom. We are now able to hang our pocket chart on it and use it while teaching our new work stations. We are able to invite children up to practice their handwriting or to show the strategy that they have used to solve a new math problem. Before, we had to use individual whiteboards. It was difficult for us to share our thinking as a class. Now we are able to share our thinking for the class to see. One of our literacy stations is the pocket chart station. We were able to hang this on the back of our easel. I had cut out sentence strips that had part of Little Red Riding Hood on it. The students had to put the story back into sequential order. Before our new easel, we had to do this on the rug. It is so much easier having all of the materials on the easel.

My students were so excited to see the delivery of our easel! We had an older student from the middle school come to our room to assemble it. Once is was assembled the students were excited to help with the bins and to figure out what we needed to put into them. They are enjoying using this during academic instruction, but they are also using it during free time.

We are happy to share that our most current project was recently funded. We will be receiving a new standing desk and three additional bluetooth headphones. We are so excited to receive these materials and use them in our classroom.

Thank you so much to everyone who helped to support our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Welch

We are currently using an easel that is only paper friendly. This easel is not on wheels and it is very hard to transport from classroom to classroom. I would love to have a magnetic whiteboard easel to teach from and for my students to interact with while they are learning whole group or at stations. This would be a great addition to our classroom. I can envision my students using this easel in a multitude of ways. Whether it be creating poems with magnetic words or rainbow recording their sight word with magnetic letters. Utilizing the whiteboard for interactive reading/writing lessons will also be greatly beneficial.
