  • Keep Bellies full and Kids' Brains Learning

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you so much Donors for your generosity. My students will know that there is a snack waiting for them everyday. The healthy snacks will keep the sugar rush at bay and we can avoid the sugar crash at the end. I know they will be able to continue learning. No “hangry” kids! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Williams

  • Hand Strength and Ear Strength

    Funded Feb 2, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity in helping to fund my project. I look forward to using the materials to help my students gain dexterity and learn phonics patterns in new and different ways. Your donation will be put to use creating learning activities to help gain hand strength and learn new phonics patterns for reading and writing. Thank you very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Williams

  • Learning Through Cooperative Play

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

I am honored by your donations, thank you so much! I cannot wait to introduce these games to my students and help them develop a love of board games. Technology and video games have their place but there is no substitute for the face-to-face action of a board game. Especially these cooperative board games because everyone wins together. I can't wait to hear them strategize and plan as they figure out how to solve the problem cooperatively. The Magnatiles are going to be a great addition to our Build It themed Fun Friday and I will probably be able to utilize them during our geometry unit as well. Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Williams

Students benefit from cooperative play in a supportive environment. These board games will help them with turn-taking, strategizing cooperatively, and the theories of geometrical shapes through play. Play-based learning builds knowledge through fun. Remember your first board game and the joy and excitement when you rolled the dice or picked the next card? I would love to provide that same feeling for my students. Technology has pushed board games to the side, but I want to bring them back. Students will enjoy choosing these games to play with each other.
