Thank you very much for investing in my 5th grade classroom. The students have benefited greatly due to your kindness and dedication to education. It is difficult to get some students to read for pleasure, especially those who struggle with reading and comprehending. With the funds donated to our classroom, by you, I was able to purchase many graphic novels and these novels seem to draw the student's attention due to the high level of pictures to accompany the words. Even if the students aren't reading the words, they are comprehending the text through the pictures and hence they are reading.
Again, thank you for your kindness.”

Thank you so much for sponsoring my "wiggles" project. It has made a great difference in the amount of times the students that have focusing issues get up and move about. The chairs allow them to "wiggle" in place. Before I had the flex seating, I would give the students with focusing issues consistent breaks and that would take away instructional time. Now, I am able to get through an entire lesson without a break for the students with focusing issues. The seating is not "assigned" to specific students, but the "right" students seem to take them to use daily.”

Thank you very much for the playground equipment. It is very important that kids engage in constructive play at recess. The playground basketballs, footballs, jump ropes, soccer balls, and playground balls will assure this happens.
The kids helped inflate all the equipment and the first day looked like a field day on the recess field. Many played football, but there were kids on the basketball court and soccer field as well. They were just all so excited.
Again, thank you,

Thank you so much for your generosity. You purchased over one hundred books for the 5th graders at Ghent School in Norfolk, Virginia.
The minute I put the books on the shelves, the students started to check them out and read. The books have opened up an interest for reading physical books in the classroom. I assigned a classroom librarian and the students are constantly asking when will the class library open so that they can exchange their books.
I polled the class prior to writing the grant so the books are definitely what they love to read.”
