I am requesting a teaching easel for our classroom. An easel is an important tool in the classroom for whole group and small group lessons. The easel is essential to our classroom because it is a place to teach our students strategies to learn how to read and write. The students can gather in front of the easel to learn and practice new skills in reading and math. The easel is also a place where students can have access to visuals, such as big books that everyone can see during shared reading as well as a place for teachers to store materials. Teachers can create shared writing pieces with the help of their students and truly engage students in reading and the writing process. Magnetic manipulates can be used during math to model equations and engage students. The easel would provide our students with endless learning opportunities.
