It's FUN To READ!!!
Funded Nov 29, 2018Thank you so much for the great items you helped us to receive. We have been using these items to help us learn to read better everyday! We are able to learn to read by tapping out our words.
After that, the students are able to increase their understanding by using the reading/skill sets that we received.
Students are able to work independently and work in groups thanks to the reading sets we now have.
The students love to have a copy of their own to read along with. This gives them the opportunity to practice their listening and reading skills.
We are so appreciative and thank you so much!”

Funded May 15, 2018Thank you so much for all of your generosity! The students loved all of the snacks and juice you helped provide for the classroom. The students now do not have to worry about being hungry, they can focus on learning. We also were able to keep our classroom nice and clean after eating snack thanks to your donations.
The students were so excited when we opened up the boxes. They couldn't wait to try all the different snacks and the different flavors. They were jumping up and down with joy!
I continue to provide the students with snacks when they are hungry. We will be continuing to learn English in class. We are all very thankful for the donations!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Through your donation, I have helped students in kindergarten to fourth grade. The students were able to use the picture cards to learn new vocabulary and create stories. The sequencing cards helped students understand putting a story in order. They then made up their own stories using sequence words (first, next, then, last). It has also helped my students build connections and friendships with peers. The students work together to solve the puzzles and talk through the learning process.
The students are always eager to use the new resources that you helped fund. Thank you! When they first saw the resources they were all so excited! They would not stop smiling.
That smile has not left them yet. Every time they use the resources, they are happy. We continue to use the resources throughout the year.”

Funded Apr 9, 2018Thank you so for your donations! My students and I are so appreciative. The students were able to have delicious snacks while they work. It is wonderful to know that my students can focus on learning and and not worry about a hungry stomach. The tissues are extremely useful because students are often sick during the winter months and thanks to you they have tissues to use.
The students were all so excited to see the snacks for them! They all wanted to try the different snacks and try the different flavors. The students in the ESL after school program were also very excited to see snacks for them.
We will be continuing to learn English in the classroom and in ESL after school. Once again, thank you for all the donations.”

Funded Dec 19, 2017I first want to thank all donors for their generosity. The resources that were purchased with your donation are being used in Kindergarten up to 8th grade. We are able to use the various picture cards to learn new vocabulary, create sentences and even create stories. The picture cards also help students learn about transportation, community helpers, children of the world, children with differing abilities, families and moods & emotions. All of the resources have helped in our every day time in the classroom. One project we worked on with the picture cards was creating stories. We learned the vocabulary of the picture cards, created characters and a plot to match. Students were then given a chance to present their story to their classmates and families.
When my students first saw the materials they were all so excited!! I wish I could capture the look on their faces when they saw the new materials for the class. They could not wait to start working with our new materials.
Next, we are hoping to add more picture resources to our classroom. Our next project is to use sequencing pictures to help with story development. I also want to add word building centers to our classroom to help with students who are just learning their sounds.”

Ms. Skotak
