  • More Than a Sack

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

I am truly honored that you chose my request to donate to. This has been a tough year and I know this little surprise for my students to use will help brighten each day. They will enjoy keeping their supplies organized and close at hand and they are wanting new things to reads as they are becoming readers. Thank you for supporting our class!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

  • Smooth Writing

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

I am thrilled to have been funded for the white boards and markers and I know my students will be, too! I can't wait to see their reaction when I distribute the new items. I would like to thank the donors who generously gave and for their interest in my first grade class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. F.

My students use dry erase lap boards daily and enjoy using them. These boards are utilized mostly in math doing morning story problems. The students can quickly solve, correct if needed and then move on to another. They stay on task and are excited to be doing math with this fun tool. The boards we are currently using are pitted, scratched, yellowed and do not always erase completely which makes it hard to see when working on another job. The pocket charts asked for would organize the grammar station in a way that would make it much more "Kid Friendly". Currently, the students are using a table top. Sometimes it seems they spend more time retrieving station tools off of the floor rather than actually working on the skill. Pocket charts would also get the students up and out of their chairs and would make activities more enjoyable. Finally, the privacy partitions would be very useful in my first grade class when testing and also when doing writing activities. The students would be able to focus, not become distracted and stay on task.
