Current News Provided in an Extremely Engaging Way!
Funded Nov 9, 2024You are quite fantastic! Our fourth grade scholars are so excited to be able to read engaging, relevant, and colorful articles from our Scholastic News issues.
With current events on the minds of our eager readers and explorers, being able to see color photos (with most not watching the evening news), brings the world they are hearing about right into the forefront of their enthusiastic minds. For example, the wildfires and how animals at adoption agencies are impacted. Our surrounding city was one of the locations which flew in pets for adoption. They were pets that were previously at the human societies (prior to California's devasting fires). That gave the students a relevant community feel of support. In this case, the students could read and discover about the sheltering areas able to have space for families to reunite with their household pets, while our area could reap the benefit of pets being able to be adopted with new forever homes. The Scholastic News does a terrific job of bringing issues and events such as this to be shared with our young readers. I am a big fan of the games and well-phrased questions the publication offer. Practical and relevant comprehension checks abound!”

Funded Apr 26, 2024Your generosity has led to happier learners. The appreciated support is noted daily. Our learners are able to effortlessly and confidently communicate within our intermediate classroom like never before.
Having to type out each instruction and then have it translated with multiple clicks and long streams of text to sift through for all tasks and subject areas in the curriculum, was very time-consuming. The terrific, normally patient learners, would lose their focus by the time all of the instructions were shared. Now, there are smooth transitions, smiling youngsters, and strong effort that all members of our learning community are able to benefit from. The pocketalk translation tool this project funded has certainly been a rewarding communication tool and we, once again, appreciate you.”

Fostering Creative and Positive Thoughts for Creative and Positive Scholars
Funded Nov 29, 2023It is with special appreciation that I send our class "Thanks, thanks, and THANKS !"
What an inspirational moment when the smiles seemed cemented in our nine and ten year-old's faces. The gift of multiple positive phrase posters and inspirational sayings which every child was able to take home, spread positive vibes throughout our room and our entire school. The students were especially-thankful to see the large amount of fancy markers, varied color schemes, and value of the high quality of marker sets they were each able to take home. As hoped, many students brought them back to school to utilize nearly every day following their Winter holiday.
Hugs and high-fives were noticed. But, the smiles that would not seem to come off of their faces were the standout for me. Thank you so very much for your generous support of our fourth grade scholars, their creativy, and positeveness. All of which, in my opinion, only came out because of your amazing support.”

Funded Oct 20, 2023Our class of eager learners has sure appreciated your generosity.
Each student was able to utilize a comfortable computer mouse to use with their daily interaction with math and other subject area software. I have provided replacement batteries many times and am pleased to offer them. For, students have been responsible and that has included turning the wireless computer mice off when having extended days away from having them utilized. The batteries provided have been a testament to the value of appreciated use which the students in the classroom have had. Each student has taken ownership of their technological tool. They are taking as much pride in their computer mice as their headphones. Further, "excited computations" might be an apt description of the number games and, most notably, the financial lessons, which the class is, and will continue to be using. They are given the enjoyable means of practicing their mathematical brain power in-action!
Thank you for your support of our mathematicians and worthy scholars.

Funded Feb 8, 2023Our class appreciates you.
There are so many students that are receiving a direct impact because of your generosity. Because of your kindness, our students have had the opportunity to use real-world math. We have allowed students to track their enthusiastic dance movements and work with multiplication and division. In order to estimate how many steps or movements might be taken within a day, week, or month students are utilizing their math skills in very practical circumstances.
Support with students being able to be active has been a great thing. Supporting them with the real-world impact of how and why we have been practicing the mathematical skills has been just as great to witness.
You are fantastic and both our class and their educational leader are sure grateful for you.”

Funded Nov 30, 2022We appreciate you!
Quality has spread its way through our class. Students have taken great care to select. The selection has come not only from the pages out of the positive quotes of inspiration books each student was able to receive, but, even more so, through the selection of which of the markers to use on the quality coloring of those pages. I have heard from numerous students that the thirty-six pack of both thin and a wider brush-tip markers are the absolute-best they have ever been able to use. Plus, they get to own them.
Our cold weather has still not left our part of the country. So, the tissues that this project also helped to fund have also been appreciated.
Thank you for your support and have a wonderful day.”

Funded Sep 21, 2022You are fantastic! You helped prove a point that I've always believed...kids are worth it. Their can always be "Time for Kids".
Your generosity and support of our wonderful scholars has allowed everyone in our fourth grade class to feel appreciated. The vivid color of the photos and interesting articles has led to every student being able to find highly engaging print to read and/or hear. Interesting, well-written explanations of the very recent news from around the world are awaiting students each issue. Our "Time for Kids" subscription has been very appreciated. The storage shelves to store them has been equally appreciated.
Thank you for supporting our learners.”

Funded Oct 20, 2022You are amazing. Thank you so much for your support for our classroom of terrific students. They were able to have some of the most supportive, easy-to-follow models of support that they, I heard from them, have ever been able to see.
Your generous and appreciated support was able to have our class look through a lot of options with supportive examples and templates from the Teachers Pay Teachers site.
Nearly every subject area was able to be covered. Most exciting was the ability to display the example templates directly to their Classroom digital site. So, every student had their own individual digital copy through our "Google Classroom page".
A third of our students shared that they were more proud of their final report than previous research project reports. I give the quality of the digital TeachersPayTeachers materials the vast credit for why so many students found their project as one of their proudest creations.”

Funded Jul 5, 2022With great anticipation, our young scholars were thrilled to first view their new, fancy folders. With reward systems and incentives set-up throughout our learning year, the reward was not a new concept. Yet, the impact of this particular self-expression was huge.
Through your generosity, there were a large amount of these fancy portfolio folders to choose from. Students seemed to have a certain pattern or picture cover that was picked out as an early incentive. With three or four of each pattern being able to be available, all choices were able to be earned with this year's class. As students build their routine of being responsible, each morning's homework is rewarded. Our room even has a coveted job as the homework manager. That position entails the manager to sort through the pages turned in, without reminder, that morning. Through the microphone, with pride, each student choosing to be responsible and return their homework, is greeted with, "Duane (with their name, as I bring my work already each morning!) , three stickers". We build upon effort as our driving trait of improving each day. Hence, there is not any grading of the homework. As a cover of the plain (just a single color) folder is filled with stickers, a treasure box is awarded. As soon as both are covered, there is the offering of another treasure box and the brand new fancy folder. We will then cover sides of a sheet of construction paper with the stickers for the remainder of the year. Thank you for being the reason so many students are so pleased and eager to continue to build their trait of responsibility.”
