  • Yum Yum! I Eat, Therefore I Think, Therefore I Am!

    Funded Mar 4, 2025

Thank you so much for helping my students with these little snacks. When hungry, even a little helps. Your generosity to our project "Yum Yum! I Eat, Therefore I Think, Therefore I Am!" will allow students who are hungry to focus on the lessons instead of their stomach. Thanks for your compassion and understanding during these hard times for many folks!”

  • Assalam Alaykum! We Say as We Learn African-American, Muslim Traditions

    Funded Feb 26, 2025

I means so much to me and my students that there are still folks out there who support other cultures, including the African-American one as well as Muslim traditions. Far too many times, we want to "celebrate" or partake in the traditions of a culture but we forget the main component, the people themselves.

In our class, we try to instill in the students a sense of proud-ness, or pride, so others will respect them as individuals and their traditions. Thanks for contributing to our " Assalam Alaykum! We Say as We Learn African-American, Muslim Traditions " project.”

  • The Golden Dragon says, "Celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year!"

    Funded Jan 19, 2025

Thank you so much for contributing to our "The Golden Dragon says, "Celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year!" project.

It is so important that the students understand that each of them carries a wealth of knowledge, much of which is not on the Report Card, like culture and traditions. I truly hope this inspires them to tap into their own individual culture so they can build on that pride.

Happy Chinese New Year : )”

  • Dig This! Soil In Need Of Rakes! Must Plant Future.

    Funded Nov 26, 2024

It is so refreshing to know other folks out there share in the same vision we do here at school; people who believe in cultivating their own fruits and vegetables, people who. know the organic, non-GMO's are so healthy for our bodies and minds.

And that is what we try to instill in our students through our projects. Thank you for donating to " Dig This! Soil In Need Of Rakes! Must Plant the Future " project. As you may already know, it takes a lot of work to maintain a garden especially keeping back them weeds. The rakes will facilitate that task but hopefully it will be fun for all participants.”

  • Class Set of Literature Texts? Book It!

    Funded Nov 9, 2024

This set of books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place where my students really enjoy reading independently!

We are so thankful for your contribution to our project, "A Class Set of Literature Texts? Book It!". With this new collection of books, my students will be able to determine the theme of the story as well as how characters in a story respond to challenges. Moreover, my students will be able to see characters who may look like them or be similar in culture.

My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and these novels will only help enrich their experiences, academically and emotionally, through Literature Texts and Novels. Lastly, I hope my students can live vicariously through the eyes of each character in the book they read.”

  • What's the Matter? Organisms and Ecosystems!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Hello. We are so grateful. Can't express how much your donation to our project, "What's the Matter? Organisms and Ecosystems!" means to us. The students are excited to build the ecosystem by putting together the Biorb and all the accessories.

You may be aware many children across the nation struggle with Science. However, being able to touch and feel real-life items will give my students an opportunity to really grasp the scientific concepts, concepts that exist in our natural world.

As an extra addend, we hope they understand the connection between us humans and our habitat, planet Earth. Hopefully they can strengthen that connection and advocate for the Earth and try to preserve it : )”

  • 40-Love! Tennis Balls Needed For Old, Worn-Down Chairs

    Funded Mar 16, 2024

I can't begin to tell you how thankful and grateful we are for this donation. These tennis balls are going to prolong the life of our chairs as well as our floor. And of course, they are going to help reduce the amount of unnecessary noise from sliding and shifting. This will limit the noise level so as to keep my students more focused from distracting noises and sounds. Furthermore, scratches on the floor will also decline.

Please know you were instrumental in our goal thanks to your contribution to our "40-Love! Tennis Balls Needed For Old, Worn-Down Chairs" project.”

My students will be using Chromebooks to enhance their knowledge in Life Science and other scientific concepts. The 21st Century student must learn to navigate themselves in a technological world that is rooted in Math and Science. In order to communicate and collaborate with peers, I must expose and teach my students to think critically to the point where their creativity and innovation will help them solve problems; problems which may not even exist just yet. By using technology in Science, my students will access Federal and State Standards. We will use the Chromebooks to access apps that focus on Cells, Human Body, etc. They'll give my students an extra opportunity to see a virtual version of a real-life living thing. The goal is to teach them the standards, but also to pique their interest in Science and Math so they become Engineers, Scientists, Teachers, etc.
