The Amazon Fire tablets and cases will assist my students in small groups as they research Africa for our multicultural extravaganza. We will begin to explore specific countries in Africa such as Nigeria, Eygpt and Ghana. Students will navigate the web to listen to videos and dig deeper to gain knowledge of their culture and background. Research will prompt students to use critical thinking skills to relate to their lifestyle. We will compare and contrast housing situations, parental support, schools and jobs. I am certain that this project will create a web of learning for my students with fun, creative and student interactive activities. I will be able to increase the learning goals by assigning different groups specific information to be responsible for exploring. I can also use them in collaboration of other subjects such as math and science. I will download applications for math practice skills during math center rotations, which will meet the needs of all students at their learning levels.
