Oh The Things We Can Design and Create!
Funded Dec 25, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations for this project. In STEAM, we make learning fun, relevant and through it requires many materials. We created a chameleon habitat, planets using materials, tunnels, water slides, robots and so much more.
Students used legos to create the most creative structures, one of them the Verrezzano Bridge which was showcased in our Science Fair. Students used the collage materials to build a habitat for an endangered animal. The smile of these students were priceless as these supplies provided an endless imagination.
In STEAM, we encourage students to be independent, think critically and be creative. Thank you for giving our students this opportunity.”

Funded Sep 21, 2022Thank you for your donations and making it possible to get different supplies for our youngest learners. It is important to get engaging materials for our youngest learners. Exposure to STEAM in 3-K provides opportunities to plan, think critically and create. Our three and four year olds have an incredible imagination and it is exposure to different materials and tools that they are able to tell stories and create experiences.
Thank you for the opportunity in getting these materials. Our students loved the ball maze, which we created different emojis on the balls. Students used the fidget tubes to create amazing structures, used fun modeling materials to create animals and used their imagination to add on to it.
It is amazing that our learners are able to get these opportunities despite some families who have limited resources. While our youngest learners think they "play," they are exposed to so many opportunities to socialize, think critically, learn, imagine and expand their creativity. My students are excited to try new materials, toys and continue to learn. Once again, thank you for all of your support!”

Funded Apr 7, 2022Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to use different supplies that they do not often use. These materials allowed students to explore many different materials, especially the colorful modeling clay. They created homes with them, people and added on to it using different materials.
As a STEAM teacher for nine classes, I run out of supplies when students create different things. As students continue to explore, they engage in many more different art materials that enhance their creativity. Adding pictures and providing them support, helps them foster their creativity in STEAM. Students showed such excitement when using these supplies to create different things that they are interested in.
During my whole group my students see these different materials through modeling, puppets and songs. I continue on using the rest of the materials on our future units of study and explorations as they create vehicles and structures. It is exciting seeing them engaged, expanding their vocabulary, learning through experiences, and we are beyond grateful to our donors for these opportunities. Thank you so much for your generous contributions!”

Funded Sep 21, 2021Thank you so much for making our STEAM classroom look colorful and inviting. The backgrounds for our bulletin board and labels make our room look inviting. We created different letters and projects with the card stock paper. We are very grateful for your generous contributions.
We have created different STEAM related activities using the card stock. We made homes, flowers and used them to make roads. I am looking forward to continue to use the materials for our other units of study for both 3-K and Pre-K.”

Building Engineers in STEAM
Funded Oct 5, 2021I am beyond thankful with all the generous contributions in making this project possible. When students saw the different boxes, they were excited to see "new toys." After introducing the materials, students were beyond excited to try them. I placed the toys in the centers gradually. Every time, I introduced a new toy, that center was the first one to be filled with students.
The 3-d magnets are used daily in multiple classrooms. The STEAM vehicles were created with effort, time and were tested. Students were beyond eager to take them home. Some students build a small shelf unit using the wooden kit. Students build bridges, buildings and so much more!
These toys and tools made a difference in our classroom environment. Students were engaged and excited to create vehicles, structures etc. When students are given resources and the opportunity to use their imagination through play to create and experiment, we are expanding their knowledge in a fun and exciting way. Thank you so much for the materials in our STEAM lab room.”

Kindergarten Here We Come!
Funded May 13, 2021Thank you so much for your generous contributions. These gifts were not only fun to use, but also educational. Many of our families do not have the resources to seek summer programs. These toys benefited our students in their cognitive and creative thinking.
When our students first saw their beach buckets, they were excited to open it. When I showed them the contents inside. their smiles and excitement were seen over their masks. Having different materials to use during the summer is beneficial for them to continue learning.
After their Stepping Up Ceremony, we gave them their gifts. Our families were very thankful and appreciative. Thank you for helping us make this possible for our young students.”

Funded Apr 2, 2021Our students enjoyed participating in different cooking activities throughout the year. We made jello, ice-cream, edible soil, edible planets and so much more. Our goal was to incorporate cooking at least once a week into our units of study and we did it.
When students participated in our cooking activities, they used their senses to describe their observations. We used it in our units of Plants, Outerspace, Transformation and Babies.
Thank you so much for your generosity. We are very appreciative for the different cooking materials. Pre-K students learn through play and experiences. These experiences expanded their creativity, thinking and so much more. What better way to learn through cooking and then eating it!”

A Pre-K To Remember!
Funded May 6, 2021I am beyond grateful for your generous contributions for our class. Thank you for allowing an opportunity with having our students dress in a cap and gown. Our families were so happy to see our students on their special day.
On this special day, students sang songs and danced. Due to COVID, we had our ceremony outdoors. It was many of our student's first experience in the classroom. Although the pandemic created many changes, it was rewarding to see our students with their cap and gowns.
Thank you for making this possible. Our families will have so many photos and their caps to remember their Pre-Kindergarten ceremony.”

Funded Mar 22, 2021Our students have greatly benefited with the art supplies. When I introduced the planting pots to decorate for Mother's Day, our students were excited. They used a variety of colors and materials to decorate their plant pots. The smiles of our four year old students said it all. Some students wanted to make it pink or yellow because it was their mother's favorite color.
The 3-D shapes have allowed my students to create their own babies for their baby units. They made flowers using the different shapes and created their own vehicle. All students needed was some visual support, and they did the rest. Some other projects we created were boats, cribs, people and so much more.
We are beyond grateful for your generous contributions and giving our young students an opportunity to expand their creativity. At home, students were not exposed to these different materials so it was great to see how involved they were.
When students took their projects home, their parents smiled and asked them what they created. It was great to see our students excited in learning, and parents being partners in their learning. Once again, thank you so much for your contributions.”
