I am a second-year teacher in a fourth-grade classroom. My school is labeled as high poverty and high ESL population school. My students come from all different kinds of backgrounds. Their unique make-up requires me to think out of the box when teaching new, possibly difficult skills. Improving reading skills in third grade is one of those difficult skills. Since I am new to teaching I do not have all of the necessary supplies and materials needed to get creative with my teaching.
