My young preschoolers are working on a lot of gross motor and fine motor skills. Outdoor play is a great time for the children to work on their skills through practice and play. The materials I have chosen will benefit the students in improving these skills. "Choose a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." My preschoolers love to play, especially outside when they are free to run around and create their own games. The children will be learning new skills they don't even realize they are working on. They will practice throwing, catching, and kicking with the set of different sized balls. The activity play kit also includes cones, jump ropes and hula hoops that the children can use to practice jumping with two feet together, and creating their own obstacle courses. The children love to create dirt mounds that their trucks can drive through for them to recreate new ones. The sand buckets are a good tool to work on measurement as the students compare who has more, or how many times they had to scoop up mulch to fill their bucket. The list of activities the students will be able to accomplish with these outdoor materials is endless. It will greatly increase their experiences with outdoor play!
