Each tablet will be at a station, where groups of 2-3 students will have access to the technology. I will also have early morning tutoring sessions where students can use the tablets. The primary purpose of the tablets stations will be to stimulate math engagement in the students. They will use the tablets to research information for real world problems, participate in online activities and games, and utilize online math manipulatives. In addition to providing a deeper understanding of the math curricula, the tablet stations will prepare students for secondary education and careers in a technology-based world. Students will learn develop their research and technology skills concurrently with their math education. Activities include utilizing Maker Space, keyboarding, STEM projects, and other problem-solving lessons. Additionally, as employers are continuously seeking more coders, students will learn to code through Code.org, which teaches math through coding activities.
