My special needs students with sensory processing disorders can benefit hugely from a comfortable and accommodating sensory area in their classroom. The sensory materials such as the bean bag chairs will provide a comfy resting spot for my students to regroup their emotions and anxieties. The fidget balls, and other sensory items, can help relieve their resulting stress and improve focus for autistic students as they attempt to learn in such a busy and distracting classroom environment.
Your generous donation for my students' New Sensory Area can help them self-regulate their emotions and sensory issues as well as assist my students to stay focused on tasks when distractions compete for their attention. The Twiddle Cat and Pup interactive play toys will provide soothing comfort for each student to have their own personal resting space and down time in the sensory area. The sensory items that you will be providing, such as the fidget balls, will allow my autistic students to keep their typical motions under control with a fidget or therapy ball in hand.
It would be wonderful for my remarkable students to be so happily surprised to find their classroom equipped with an intriguing, soothing, and comfortable sensory area to meet their challenging needs.
