Math Games for All!
Funded May 6, 2022Thank you for your continued support of my classroom and more importantly my students! Education is the work of the village. Thank you for being a part of the village that will play an integral role in creating the next generation of leaders. A simple Thank you does not seem like enough, but they are heart felt words”
With gratitude,

This classroom project was brought to life by Chevron and 3 other donors.Flexible Classroom
Funded Aug 14, 2019Thank you again for helping our classroom with our flexible seating resources. In our classroom, we do a lot of group work. It is not always easy to find comfortable places for students to work. By incorporating various types of seating in the classroom, students are able to work in comfort. Specifically, when working in math, students work in groups to complete a multipart assignment. The flexible seating options allow student groups to have their own space to work. The wobble seats are also used daily for students who need to burn off some extra energy during class.
When the materials first arrived, students were definitely excited. They like to see new materials come into the classroom. They were most excited about the wobble cushions. They had lots of questions about what they were for and when they would get the chance to use them. The Yoga seats are also popular. Students like to call them mini bean bags.
Moving forward, I would like to add more materials to our classroom such as lap desks and more wobble cushions (they are very popular). Eventually, I would like to accquire some standing work stations for students. I am currently in the process of developing a check out system for students to be able to use the flexible seating options during individual lessons as well. They seem very excited about having choice when intheir classroom.”

Notebook Jazz
Funded Jul 28, 2018Thank you so much for helping our classroom become a wonderful learning environment for all students. In both math and english, students are using the supplies to make their notebook stand out. Interactive notebooks are a way for students to take ownership of their learning. They provide students to show their creativity in how they retain knowledge.
When the materials first arrived, students were glad to see that we had supplies in the classroom. While parents do the best they can to provide students with all they need to be successful, we know that they do not always have what they need. Students were most excited about having glue sticks and scissors because those tend to disappear quickly. The pencils are also a big hit!
Moving into the next semester, the supplies will continue to be used for notebooking, but we will use them to enhance our book study for "Hunger Games" novel. Students will work in groups to create projects and presentations as the read the book. The supplies provided will aid in the creation of these projects as well as made our day to day lessons run smoothly.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Wilson
