    Funded Mar 16, 2018

Thank you so much for the Chromebook that we received. Our students are thankful and appreciative of your great acts of kindness and generosity. Your donation has helped me provide more meaningful science project using computer technology. Also, my students were able to access our Goggle classroom more often so they can complete their assignments. The Chromebook helped English Language Learners use digital language learning software games and activities which dramatically improved their many dimensions of language skills. Thank you again for your support and I am so excited to have more projects using the Chromebook with my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Oh

In today's age, computer literacy is a crucial component of any student's learning plan. By providing students with access to the greatest learning tool invented-the Internet-students gain unprecedented access to resources and information. The Stanford Center for Opportunity Policy in Education found that, "Technology, when implemented properly, can also close the achievement gap between students classified as “high-performing” and “at-risk.” Up to 20% of low-income households in the United States do not have Internet access, and before the 1:1 initiative in schools, these same households would also not be able to afford a device for their student to learn on. Therefore, by selecting cost-effective IT infrastructure such as the Chromebook, students gain the ability to access resources in a manner suited to their learning style." Our students will use the Chromebook to explore their learning objective while working on the group projects. Your generous donation to our project will improve my classroom by building stronger computer literacy. This will help my students be ready for higher education.
