My classroom is a place for productive struggle. I try to spend the least amount of time possible in front of the classroom to maximize the time I can give to student problem solving. Our school is 32% African American, 24% white, 20% Asian and 16% Latino. In my 4 Sophomore classes I use the Code.org Computer Science Principles Curriculum: http://www.code.org/csp. I also teach one "Capstone" class for older students that is entirely project based and focused on demonstration of mastery.
