As a fourth grade team, we are working to keep our students motivated to read. We have created a challenge among our grade, and want to reward the students who read the most. The more students practice reading, the more exposure they get to grade-level vocabulary which helps with comprehending the complex texts we are reading in school. Being in virtual school, students don't have access to the classroom library, and most of the reading they do is virtual. Having these physical rewards which they can pick up from the school, helps continue to motivate the students to strive for their best.
