  • Thriving in Third

    Funded Aug 18, 2024

Your support has significantly enhanced our classroom environment allowing us to start the year strong.

We've already put the new supplies to great use! In our recent writing project, students used dry-erase markers to brainstorm ideas on anchor chart paper, fostering collaborative discussions about story elements. This helped them refine their writing skills and built their confidence in sharing ideas.

When students first saw the supplies, their faces lit up with excitement. One student exclaimed, "Look at all the colors!" They immediately began imagining the possibilities, which showed me how eager they were to engage with new materials.

Looking ahead, students will work in small groups to create their own stories using the new supplies, enhancing their creativity and teamwork skills. Your contributions have made a lasting impact, and we can't wait to see where this journey takes us! Thank you for believing in our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Grady

  • Sharpening Up for Third Grade

    Funded Aug 17, 2022

Students have been working hard and showing great growth in our classroom. Our workbooks have allowed students to have independent work. Headphones allowed students to complete their independent work. Anchor chart paper, dry-erase board, and markers are used for the whole group learning. Disinfectant spray and wipes have helped keep my student's areas cleaned and deodorized.

Technology assist my students in areas of learning. It incorporates direct instructions through video streaming and project-based learning. Technology makes it easier to find information quickly and accurately. My students have access to many e-books, which would not be possible without technology. Technology also encourages active participation in my classroom. My students enjoy technology programs that include I-Ready, Reflex Math, Get-Epic, Flocabulary, and other educational programs at home as well as at school.”

  • Surfing Through the Second Grade

    Funded Jun 14, 2022

Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom. My students last year were very successful and met many of their goals with your donations. My students used the dry-erase markers and dry-erase pockets during math, reading, and interventions. We used crayons to add illustrations to our writing in our writing journals. Cleaning products helped us stay healthy and allowed us to remain in person the entire school year. We were also able to enjoy some new games to play whenever we had indoor recess due to inclement weather. Again, thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom community.”

  • Stepping into a Successful Year of Learning

    Funded May 19, 2021

The students were very excited to know that their education truly matters to others. They have had an opportunity to use their kits, crayons, pouches, dry erase markers and other supplies that were donated. Each day student get their supplies out of their containers and are able to navigate throughout their day.

Today in Math the students will be able to use their whiteboards and markers to work out their problems so that I am able to check for their undestanding. In Reading, students use their crayons to illustrate the Fossilization process. In doing this, we are able to connect what we have learned about our informational text to art.

I appreiate your aid in getting us ready for use to return in person.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Grady

  • Engaging Students from a Distance

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom during this time. My students are loving the letters and dry erase board, which we us during small group reading stations. We also use our dry erase board during reading and math! My desk helps me have an organized space to virtually teach my class

My students and their families were so appreciative of the opportunity to get have resources to use while they aren't in the classroom.

My next steps are to have my small groups continue to use the letters to continue building works to grow their spelling and decoding skills.”

  • Growing Leaders

    Funded Aug 1, 2019

I am writing this letter to thank you for your generous donations to my class' education. We write stories and illustrate our stories in class. A "pop" of color is what I require from each student. The crayons have allowed them to express their joy in illustrating their wonderful stories.

Using the playing cards in the classroom has allowed my students to continue learning simple addition and subtraction facts. The playing cards are a favorite center during Math time.

The 6 Pocket Wall Organizer helps me to manage my Lesson Plans and my student's work for the week.

Your kindness has made a difference in the lives of these students, and that surely means more than any thanks we could ever offer.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Grady

  • Building Readers With (Chrome)Books

    Funded Aug 13, 2018

I want to begin by thanking you so much for our generosity.

Students are very excited to be able to clearly hear the announcements, watch educational videos, and other Smart Board activities with our new speaker.

Students are most excited about being able to go on the computer and using educational websites. Students have been loving the direct focus on needed skills.

Adreanah has told me she enjoys going on the computer using a particular educational website. She and several other students have helped model how students are expected to use these new devices.

Again, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for your assistance and thoughts. This is a big stepping stone for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Grady
