My students have trouble seeing the examples that we are doing together because it is difficult for them to see the board. My students are spread out around the room and they need to be able to see the board. They have trouble seeing, and I often hear them say "I can't see!". Also, I am implementing a new (to me) learning curriculum this year called Orton-Gillingham and using a document camera for students to see things like letter cards will be crucial in helping them learn to read! The sand will also be used to implement OG techniques in class by writing letters and words in the sand to help children learn to read!
