I am a high school Social Studies teacher in a school designed specifically for students with mobility issues. Most of my students use wheelchairs and/or walkers to move about independently. While my students have mobility issues, they are some of the most inquisitive students that I have ever taught! All of my students come to school each and every day to learn and to grow more independent. They are truly an inspiration.
I currently teach students in grades 9 through 12. I teach World History, African American History, U.S. History and Social Science. I utilize a variety of teaching modalities in order to reach each student in my class. I implement as many cross-curricular activities as I can in class in order to increase my students' knowledge of functional academic skills.
