Love Reading From The Get Go! Flexible seating! From the very beginning, I encourage my students to take ownership of their learning. In our "Read to Self" lessons, students take ownership in choosing their own books and selecting where they would like to sit in the classroom to focus and concentrate on reading. My Project My students need the options for flexible seating to help them stay comfortable and on task during reading. Having different options keep the students engaged in learning and will keep them focused. As I meet with small groups, other students will have the option of flexible seating during Read to Self. Flexible seating lends itself to student center classrooms and ownership. This will create a positive and inviting learning environment where students are given a choice while learning. This will benefit my students physically, mentally and academically.
