Kindergarten is an exciting time for every student involved. For many of them, this is their first introduction to school and will set the foundation for their future education experience. A very large part of that experience is feeling comfortable and safe in the classroom. I am asking for an Alphabet Activity carpet for my classroom so that each child will have their space to listen and learn while respecting each other's boundaries and personal space. Kindergartners are learning everything: from their letter names and sounds to the idea of personal space and respect for one another and this carpet promotes all of these ideas. My students need a cozy carpet to invite them to learn. We spend most of our day on the floor and my students would love to have an inviting space of their own while they take on the learning challenges of kindergarten.
