Scholastic News provides non-fiction, print rich informational texts to Pre-K students with colorful photos on topics such as health, science, and social studies. Our class will use the Let's Find Out Spanish Edition of this magazine designed for Pre-K level English Language Learners. By receiving this magazine every two weeks, my students and I can practice shared reading, skill building exercises and can explore online resources on academic and social skills topics. Students can also be introduced to concepts and vocabulary in their native language, and can match pictures and words to increase their English language vocabulary using this newsletter! This program also features online and take home activities for increasing parent involvement in my Pre-K classroom.
