Having an Education Student Math Balance, with the proper teaching tools, Learning Resources , & Technology Center in my classroom will open up a whole new world of learning for my students. In addition, my students will have the opportunity to practice hands-on activities and real world situations with the manipulative. On the other hand, they will be able to develop mental math, an essential skill that will be tested on the state assessment. My students will have the opportunity to practice with 21st century learning skills that require students to be technologically savvy and integrate reading and math using the big book center. Finally, my students will develop and enhance their vocabulary, love for math, numbers, inquiry and unknowns. I believe this project is so important because at young ages, students innately have a love for math, numbers, inquiry and unknowns. Having taught older elementary students in the past, it was a challenge trying to bring that out of them because of the experiences they previously had in math and science classes. I believe that with access to these materials, I will send my students into the future, with a continued interested in these highly critical fields.
