Students should be surrounded by Mathematics in a Math classroom. My students come from a high needs community. The school is one of the few safe places for them. Our school is based on collaborative studying and has tended to focus on students with special education needs. Our entire high school is on one floor of a building shared by other schools. I teach 4 different classes in multiple rooms. I can remember in my high school having posters of helpful formulas and famous mathematicians on the walls. The walls of our classrooms are typically plain because so many teachers share the room at any given time.
