My 5th graders will be super excited to have their own printer and ink. These students love to use the computer to write, do activities and create projects, but we do not have a (color) printer in our classroom to print their amazing work. These kiddos put such effort into their projects, and the printer will assist them in being able to visualize and share the digital projects that they are creating. These students are working on becoming 21st Century learners and what better way to do this is by sharing physical copies of their masterpieces! My project is to have technology readily available in the classroom, specifically printers. We will be using the computers during the writing process and my students will benefit from printers that can be used immediately. Students will use the technology to provide evidence of their learning. Printers will be used within the students projects in the form of notes, maps, outlines, pictures and final products. The best part is, they would see the process connect to a final product.
