My self contained classroom has many busy bodies that need require a sensory diet throughout the day. After a thirty minute lesson the majority of my students require some sort of sensory activity. A few students even require sensory items throughout a lesson. A very important item of this diet includes the use of the stability ball. The stability ball will provide the necessary sensory while at the same time still be able to fully participate in the lesson. There are 3 in the classroom already, but they are a highly coveted item and constantly being utilized. Having more in my room will be a great added bonus.
