  • Centers for Children

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity. My students have been using these centers to build on their prior knowledge and develop new skills. My students enjoy center time because it is a fun learning time slot in the day. For example, I took out the centers today and one student yelled, "I'm so excited." Another student shouted, "Yay it's center time."

We will be using these centers throughout the year. The centers are based on their skill level, which allows my students to grow with the centers. Some centers are more basic than others. As their learning progresses they will be able to move on to the more advanced centers.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Amato

  • Individualized Tools

    Funded Feb 22, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity. These supplies have helped individualize learning for my class this year. The book baggies helped them store their books in a safe and protected place while not in use for their future readings. They loved the idea of book shopping with their own bag that had compartments for their reading strategy support tool. The sand boards really targeted the lower students who need OT support with letter formation. These sandboxes helped them work on their fine motor skills along with learning how to write letters correctly. We will continue to use these tools next year and future years to come.

    Thank you class K-104!”

  • An Apple A Day Keeps Teachers on Display!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

This technology has helped me improve my teaching practices in many ways. I am able to create engaging lessons through google slides with multiple visuals, create individualized support for my students who need it, and it is used as a resource for my students to go on educational websites.

This product is most exciting to my students because they aren't used to using a MacBook in school. MacBooks have amazing features that are easily accessible for students.

My students are extremely grateful to have this technology in the classroom and so am I. Thank you again for your support.”

  • Ink! Ink! Ink!

    Funded Dec 25, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations. The students in my school are thrilled to have access to their favorite arts and crafts during free periods. I am able to print great resources for them that they don't have access to all the time. Every day during free periods they look forward to print-out of their favorite things, such as coloring pages, cartoon characters, recipes etc.

The most exciting part of the product is shared experience between me and they students while they are choosing their high interest topics. The joy and happiness it brings each student warms my heart.

Thank you so much for the wonderful donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Amato

  • Ink, Ink, Ink!

    Funded Nov 30, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Working remotely from home has been challenging with limited supplies and purchasing a great deal out of my own pocket due to excessive budget cuts. Having to create a home office to best educate my students has been costly. Because of your donations I was able to supply myself with ink and xerox paper for a majority of this school year. I am always printing many things such as assessments, supports, charts, report card documents, school-wide memos to keep myself in the know of my virtual classroom.

The new products has given me the ability to create worksheets, anchor charts, assessments, visuals and so much more to best support my class. The class really enjoys our daily lessons and they are learning new topics daily.

Thank you again for allowing me to best support my class.”

  • Learn and Grow!

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

Thank you so much for helping me prepare for the upcoming school year. With so many challenging situations and limited supplies this will greatly help! I’m looking forward to using these amazing new tools with my students. They are going to love and enjoy learning and I am looking forward to seeing them progress.”

  • An Ear-Resistable Support Tool for My Students!

    Funded Dec 18, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation. These headphones have been a great asset to our classroom. Each student has their own pair and is able to use them on the class Chromebooks. The students really enjoy having a pair of headphones of their own. Some of them don't have their own headphones at home so this is enjoyable for them.

The Sony headphones are such powerful and sturdy headphones that they weather any classroom storm we may have. I think as a teacher that is the most exciting part. Lastly, my students take such great care of them.”

  • Getting Tech-y with a new App-y!

    Funded Dec 14, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Having this new i-pad a part of our class has been extremely impacted our students. They are extremely excited to use the i-pad and learn all the wonderful things it has to offer.

This i-pad allows me to teach lessons through it by using the pen. I can write in certain apps and project it onto our smartboard. It is extremely interactive and the kids love it.

Also, we were fortunate enough to get some cool center activities in our class (building a video game) and then they can take a snapshot of what they built and play the video game they created on the i-pad.”

  • Students Need to Learn Grammar!

    Funded Nov 16, 2017

Class 2-243 warmly appreciates the donation of the Grammar books. We have been using them everyday since we received the wonderful package. Our students are now able to recognize the importance of grammar. My co-teacher and I are looking forward to seeing our students grow in their writing pieces as the year progresses due to the help of these books. Our class has worked on nouns and pronouns thus far and our students are able to tell the difference between the two. They are a huge impact to our classroom community and we are beyond grateful!”

A color printer and ink will help improve the education and learning capability of my students. Most of our population are IEP students along with ASD Nest students. Our special needs students require a great deal of visuals to learn and it's not as engaging when they are in black and white and not in color. Having a printer that will be able to make learning more engaging for them will definitely promote student learning. My students are always asking us to print things in color for them and unfortunately we don't have the means to do so. We will be able to create colored supports, fun projects, colored visuals, individual supports and so much more by having a colored printer.
