  • Restless Rewards

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

We are thrilled to share the positive impact your support has had on our students. With the help of fidgets and stress balls funded through your generous contribution, our students have been better equipped to navigate the pressures and challenges of high school.

These tools have provided them with effective ways to manage stress and stay focused, turning difficult situations into opportunities for growth and resilience. We've seen students using these resources to calm their nerves during exams, stay centered in class, and support one another through challenging moments.

Thank you for helping create a more supportive and manageable school environment. Your contribution is making a tangible difference in our students' ability to thrive academically and emotionally.”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher Kubo

  • Calming Rewards

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting this wonderful project! Your funding has made a significant impact by giving our students the chance to meet new friends, learn valuable skills, and receive social-emotional support during their school day.

Moreover, students who needed a safe space found solace and comfort in these tools, helping them to navigate the challenges of adolescence in a healthier and more supportive way. Your contribution has truly made a difference in their social and emotional well-being, and we are incredibly grateful for your support in creating a more connected and caring school environment.”

  • "Scan Me" Up Scotty

    Funded Jun 7, 2023

This program has allowed for safety measures to be in place for our ninth grade academy building. By using a scanning system, we have made our entrances into the building more secure. Students who are coming in late or without a valid pass must scan to get into the building. This in turn lets us know if they are supposed to be walking through the hallways. We have seen an increase in learning and expectations for students have been apparent because of your generous donation for ipads. Safety is more important than ever. This new system allows for our teachers to feel at ease and focus on the building of power people in their classrooms.”

  • The Upside of Stress

    Funded Aug 26, 2022

The impact of this project is immeasurable. Students being able to find ways to positively deal with stress is always a win-win situation. Students today come with so many expectations that have been engrained in their minds through social media, family expectations, and their own idea of perfection. By having a way to release stress in a safe environment, students are learning how to work through tough situations and create opportunities for themselves to be successful. The true impact of this project can never been measured by numbers alone. The impact comes when we see our students successfully navigate through high school. Your donation is a huge gift for these students.”

  • Pinning Positivity

    Funded Aug 20, 2022

Our students have been so excited to use the button maker. They have created designs, handed them out to students, and have proudly worn their creations on their backpacks. They even had the chance to create buttons that identified them as special workers at an event for our incoming 9th grade students. These students were a little hesitant at first about making a mistake, but after taking the risk to create something and make it into a button, they are thriving.

Thank you so much for launching this new era of creativity on our campus. I know that these students are going to have button swapping lunches to build relationships that will last a long time.”

  • S.U.P.E.R. (Support-Understand-Provide-Encourage- Reward

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you so much for taking the time to reinforce our positive behaviors on campus. Social emotional support for students provides a foundation for all students to build upon. Your time and consideration is much appreciated and our students will thrive because of your kindness. Thank you so much for investing in our future.”

  • "Sew" It Begins: Growing With Life Skills

    Funded Aug 19, 2022

I want to say thank you for providing the opportunity for students to meet new friends, learn a new skill and provide social emotional support during the school day by funding this project. Our students met during lunch periods to learn how to sew their small support pillow. Many students chose to give their small pillow to a friend who needed support during the day, rather than keep it for themselves.

By providing the tools for these students to learn, they have grown in their social skills as well. Many met during lunch and found a new friend to talk to on our large campus. In addition, students who needed a safe space to just hang out found this activity soothing and supportive. So thank you so much for supporting our teens to healthier and safer mindsets as they navigate the teen years and high school.”

  • Tie Dye That Binds - 9th Grade Connection

    Funded Mar 14, 2022

We are so happy our students have had the opportunity to create tie dyed shirts to show school spirit. By encouraging them to be creative through this activity, our students have taken great pride in who they are and are able to express themselves through school spirit. Upon entering high school, they now have a shirt they can wear on spirit days that they created. Not only did they put their hard work and effort into the activity, they also created bonding friendships with their peers.

Every opportunity we can give our students to build their own personal toolbox of confidence just creates a more active and positive influence in our society. Thank you for supporting the social/emotional growth of our teens.”

  • Yes We Can! So Watch Us Grow!

    Funded Jun 10, 2021

We have launched our "Yes I can! So watch us grow!" initiative with our 9th grade students. We combined 33 general education freshmen with our CBT special education students to launch this initiative on our campus. So over forty students were able to learn and practice compassion for one another by planting beautiful plants and vegetables.

When the students came out and viewed the planters in our quad area, they were excited to start filling them with soil. So many volunteers requested to fill water jugs and help carry supplies to the planters. In addition, general education and special education students partnered to plant the vegetables and flowers in each planter. They were excited to get started. They have demonstrated commitment to this project by maintaining water in the bulbs and monitoring the progress of our plants.

Thank you so much for providing this level of love and support.”

Once a year, we host a Diversity Camp called "Bruintown." We discuss heavy topics such as religion, race, sexual preference, prejudice, and equality. About 120 students leave their homes for a 4 day trip to immerse themselves in the topics. The Bruintown goal is to gain a better understanding and appreciation for all people. The supplies we are requesting will help students visualize, analyze, and communicate the subjects discussed in camp. By providing water bottles our hope is that students will stay hydrated and avoid headaches during their time outdoors in higher elevation. In addition, a projector and screen provide our students the opportunity to visually see the topics we are covering. This allows for visual learners to reinforce what we are practicing in our workshops. Finally, our medical supplies will provide safety for our students at multiple locations at camp. All supplies are necessary to make camp a success. We want the information presented to the students is brought back home to make a change in our school and our community without any gaps in their ability to learn and create their own personal toolkit. The students attending camp are dedicated to their education, their families, and their school, and we hope you can help them feel proud to make a positive change in the world.
