Strumming Up New Tunes!
Funded Mar 27, 2018I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the contributions made by the many donors to my project. Since we got the instruments late in the school year, we have not had as much time with them as we will next year. Just letting the kids learn how to hold the instruments and begin to learn how to tune them has been an exciting experience.
When I first passed them out, the kids were very excited to say the least. Many of them had never seen or heard a ukulele, much less actually be able to hold one and make sounds with them. I was excited myself to see the kids' reaction to the instruments.
When the new school year begins next fall, I will be working the ukuleles into my regular classroom routines. I teach recorder and keyboard classes and the ukuleles will offer a new direction in the students' music experiences in class. I certainly plan on using them on some programs in the future which will allow parents to see what the kids are experiencing in music classes. Thanks so much for all of your generous contributions to my project!”

Funded Jan 21, 2009I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the generous contribution you made to our music classes at my school. The new karaoke machine has really come in handy, not only in my classroom but has been very useful in other areas as well.
It comes in very hand when I take our Select Choir to sing at various places either at school or away from the school were no piano is available. I am able to play both cassettes and cd's as the need arises.
The P. E. teacher and I combine our classes one day a week for "music and movement", in which we have as many as 90 students per class. Sometimes we are in the cafeteria and sometimes we are outside depending on the weather for these classes. The new karaoke machine allows for us to play music for the kids to move to and the 2 mi”

Drumming for Success
Funded Dec 24, 2008I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the donors who contributed to my proposal. Since I have been at my school, I have tried to add as many new instruments as possible to my music classroom. When I first came to the school about 4 years ago, we had very few instruments for the children to play and many of the ones we did have were in poor condition. We had no drums to speak of except for a couple of hand drums, one with a cracked head. I have tried to add these kinds of instruments to my classes to allow the students to play many different kinds of drums as well as providing for much greater participation across all the grade levels. Again, thank you so much for the contributions for these fine instruments.
Sincerely,
Robert ”

Funded Apr 23, 2007I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the donors who contributed to the funding of my proposal. I have been checking with anticipation every day on the status of the proposal and this morning I was delighted to see that it had been fully funded! These new instruments will greatly enhance my music classes and allow for greater student participation. As many of these instruments had been neglected before I began teaching at my school, this will also provide for a substantial upgrade in the quality of my equipment. Again, I thank you very much for your contributions to my proposal and look forward to receiving the new equipment.
Sincerely,
Robert ”
