My students are respectful, hardworking, and creative individuals. The majority of them are first-generation Americans who are making the most of the wide range of educational opportunities offered at our school. By eagerly engaging in the arts while also diligently honing their academic skills in the classroom, they are laying a strong foundation for their future success in high school, college, and adulthood. In my classroom, students will be focusing on their "thinking like a scientist" skills-- in other words, they will experience the scientific inquiry process as we examine issues related to life science and physical science. By doing so, they will continue to nurture their own curiosity and sense of wonder about the world while further developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I'm so excited to see what they will accomplish this year and onwards!
