  • An Ear-ful Of Learning!

    Thank you so much for donating to get our class new headphones! We use them every day, and are reminded of your generosity! The students are able to complete differentiated, targeted learning tasks on their devices distraction free! While they are working quietly, I am able to pull small groups to complete much needed intervention. The headphones have especially helped my students with sensory needs - creating a more quiet environment for them to focus. TI greatly appreciate your support of my students!”

  • Learning Up Close! Document Camera

    We are so happy with our document camera! There is an incredible increase in the engagement of our whole group instruction. Your donation has truly impacted the learning of every student in my classroom. We use our document camera every day and across all subjects. We read leveled texts together as a group, we show off our work to our peers, and most importantly they receive engaging whole group instruction and modeling of new tasks.

    Every day after our writing block, I allow a few students to display their work under the document camera and read their work to the class. The rest of the class applauds them and gives them praise and critiques on their work! The students work so hard to get chosen to show their work to the whole class!

    This project is most helpful to my students that find reading and writing to be more of a struggle. I can display sentence starters, examples of high quality work, and walk them through each step of a difficult problem. I'm still exploring new and creative ways to use this technology. Thank you again!”

I am requesting a document camera in order to make whole group instruction engaging and accessible for my students. Modeling "how to" procedures and success criteria is one way we ensure that our students are completing high quality work independently. Our large class size limits our ability to engage fully in modeling and guided practice: we can't see! The document camera will allow me to model high-quality work, allow students to share and display their creations, and experience leveled texts as a whole group. This extra visual support will especially aid my ESL students who need support in understanding, reading, and writing in English! With a document camera, we will be able to complete work together as a class, read and analyze leveled readers, proudly show off our high quality work to our peers, and engage fully in whole group instruction.
