Special Ed. Toddler Art, Sensory, & Snacks!
Funded Sep 24, 2024Thank you for your generous donations to my classroom and students. I cannot express how much I appreciate the support in order to give my students more materials in the classroom. All of your donations have directly impacted the students in our program.
The kids have had so much fun with all of our new art and sensory supplies. We have been enjoying making a lot of new crafts with all of the materials. We have also gotten a lot of sensory play in with finger painting and shaving cream play. We look forward to continuing their growth through play and exploration.
The students have also enjoyed the new options for snack time that we were able to get! All of the hand sanitizer and soap have helped us to be able to keep our hands and dishes clean, especially when eating.”

Funded Jan 1, 2023Thank you for all of your support and donations towards building our classroom library. All of these books go along with of our monthly themes. We really appreciate your support. We have had the joy of watching our children find and explore all of our new books.
They are all showing a love of books and reading at an early age! We hope this helps set them up for success in their future. So many of them spend a lot of their free play time exploring these new books. It had opened up many great opportunities for our staff to engage in reading with our students by following their lead.”

Social Emotional Behavior Books for Special Education Preschoolers!
Funded Sep 2, 2021Thank you so much for your very gracious support for my special education preschool classroom. We have already begun utilizing all of the social emotional books with the students when they are having a hard time. We read through the social stories and talk about the different options to help us regulate our bodies. We ask questions to see which options the students think will work best for them. They have proven to be very helpful with the students. Some of the students have begun to go to the calm down area when they are upset and go for the books independently.”

Distant Learning Materials for SPED PreK!
Funded Oct 8, 2020Thank you for all of your support in funding our classroom project! Our special education preschool students were able to engage more in distance learning after receiving these materials. They all did really well once we had more hands on materials for them to utilize which helped them maintain attention for longer periods.
They were able to work on all of the academic areas as well as their personal goals written on their IEPs. Their parents were also able to help them more with their academics at home since they had the materials”

Funded Jan 4, 2018Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. The students and I cannot express how much it means to us to receive these materials for our classroom. The students have loved exploring the new materials and it is amazing as a teacher to see them growing through these new materials.
The students use the Velcro on a daily basis. Some of our students have individual visual schedules that they are able to move the activities they have completed over to a section that shows they have completed them. Having the visual reminder of what is left for their day helps regulate and keep them from being anxious. We also use visuals with our students to show them where they need to be going in the classroom, for example we give them a bathroom visual and they take it and stick it on the velcro outside the bathroom door and that signifies to them it is time to use the bathroom.
All of these amazing materials we received are a huge support to our students and help them succeed to the best of their ability. Thank you again!”

Brand New Special Education Preschool!
Funded Dec 20, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students and I truly appreciate everything that we got from this project. We have used everything we received and it has been amazing to see the children grow through using these new materials.
The play dough we received we used on a daily basis. We use it for an assortment of purposes like cutting letters to spell the students names, cutting out shapes to practice their shape knowledge, being creative in building different things, and for sensory purposes. A lot of our students have sensory needs that can be tough to meet in order to self-regulate. We use play dough as a calm down method for some of our students when they are dealing with sensory overload. The play dough helps them to focus on one thing and to get the input in their hands and use their whole arms in rolling or squeezing the play dough.
We truly cannot express how thankful we are for these materials. It is because of people like you, that our students are able to succeed to the best of their ability.”
