I would love to have some flexible seating for my classroom this year. We are a big class full of unique students. Each student works differently and I would love to make their day the best I can. Giving students options of where they sit and what type of work area they want helps to keep them focused, gives them a sense of choice, and makes their day a little better. I am slowly building my furniture options and would love some help. Certain behaviors can be corrected just by adjusting seating. Rubber bands placed around the bottom of chairs give those students that need to fidget and opportunity to do so without causing a distraction to others. Some students love to stand while doing work, so standing desks are a great choice. Cushions for the floor or comfy seats help them to relax and worry only about the task at hand.
