Having the requested supplies would enable me to enhance my word wall for my students. many of the children come from monolingual Spanish homes. The pictures alongside the printed words would facilitate their understanding and connection with the printed word in English. Moreover, using multiple modalities to introduce and reinforce taught concepts will maximize the learning potential of my students. I would also like to capture and share that look in my students' eyes when they learn something new, have fun with a new friend or experience something magical on a trip. I see it all the time, but I would love to share that with their parents when I hand them a picture at dismissal. They don't stay young forever and memories fade, but pictures don't! In addition, my students will be able to showcase their group work and capture accomplishments for the parents that are unable to attend classroom visits. This printer will make the home and school connection grow even stronger.
