• Make the Fundamentals Fun for First Graders

  I would like to THANK YOU for making this project a success!!

  My students are so happy about all these wonderful books. Every morning in the classroom they have the opportunity to read at their leisure. After receiving these amazing books, their love for reading has increased greatly.

  Now, I have noticed that they take several books with them to read, something that did not happen before. Many times, I have seen them reading during recess time instead of playing outside. It is a surprise for me to see how engaged they are with these books. Their reading stamina has increased and I know that this is just the beginning. The changes in their reading habits are definitely helping them in other subjects as well and I know that little by little they will begin to show growth in many aspects of their education thanks to these amazing books.”

• Books Books Books for First Graders!

  Thanks to your donations, my students are starting to read more and more. The books are exciting for them to read and during the reading block, students read independently and with their partners. The discussions they have about these books are amazing and full of enthusiasm.

  All students are really enjoying the new books, but those who read high-level books are setting an example for the rest of the class. I am more than sure that by the end of the school year, all of my first graders will be reading independently and ready for next school year.”

  Books like these are so helpful for budding readers because they really get excited about reading about the hilarious characters and all of their adventures. These are the kinds of books that also get kids talking to each other about what they're reading outside of school and reading class- the kind of books that set them up for a lifelong love of reading.

• Awesome Easy Readers!

  Thanks to your generous donation, all of my students were able to bring some books home and enjoy the wonderful stories and book series they asked for.

  Every morning, students have the opportunity to read for 10-15 minutes. Having these books in the classroom and at home has helped them in many ways. For example, they are reading for much longer, they actually enjoy their reading time more, they practice how to use various reading strategies, and have class/partner discussions about the books.

  All of the students are enjoying the books, but I have especially seen a great impact on the boys. Now they are more engaged and the majority went up reading levels.

  We really appreciate every one of you, who with effort helped us to achieve our goal of getting Awsome Books for Readers!”

• Chromebooks for Dual Language 3rd and 4th Graders!

  I really thank you for your support. These computers have changed my students' lives in many ways. Most of them do not have access to internet at home or cannot afford to buy a computer for their personal use. Thanks to your donations and support, my students can receive a better education while enjoying technology.

  They are super excited about these Chromebooks because now they can access instructional programs online that greatly help them to improve their reading and math skills. Also, they can watch educational videos, do research, and learn about topics they are interested in.
