  • 24-25 Essential Supplies!

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you so much for your support in kick starting our school year! This has come just in time with the first week of school in full swing. These supplies will help support students with instruction and ensure students can focus on daily learning.

Once again, I can not thank you enough for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lee

  • College Bound Panthers Pt. II

    Funded Dec 15, 2019

I can't express enough how much we appreciate your kindness and generosity. Rewarding students with the college gear, and then seeing them show up to school wearing their shirts/lanyards proudly is a great feeling and it's not possible without donors like you. I wanted to wait to post this message until I had taken plenty of pictures of students with the items, but unfortunately, we did not get to take the required 6 due to COVID-19 closing schools.

I hate we had to end the school year abruptly, but the safety and well-being of students is important. As I prepare for the next school year, I want to assure you that this mission increase the the number of college ready students will continue with the class of 2027.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lee

  • College Bound Panthers

    Funded Sep 6, 2018

With over $400 worth of donations, you could see the excitement in my students eyes wondering what we would get each day a box was delivered. Unpacking box after box, their curiosity rose, "What are we going to use this for Ms. Lee?"

Clipboards helped aid in creating a more comfortable work environment, and binders helped transform our organization for our class notebooks, but I can say the new dry erase boards are by far their favorite addition. Coming into class and seeing markers and boards stacked in the center of the table always means a fun spin on learning in math class, and watching them take the plastic wrap off of the new boards to replace some of the more worn and battered ones was a moment of excitement I regret not photographing. We can not thank you enough for your generous donations that help ensure that we reach college readiness.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lee

  • Small Groups and Safe Spaces

    Funded Oct 17, 2018

My students and I can not express enough how much we have appreciated your donations. When first learning that we were funded for the alternative seats and more clip boards, they immediately asked "Is there a sign up?" Seeing huge boxes with bean bag chairs in them being delivered brought a level of excitement to the classroom that has been hard to match.

Creating systems and an environment that allows students to move around and be comfortable while completing work has been very powerful in my classroom. My students and their peer tutors have a space and resources to be able to have agency in their learning. This is something I hope to continue to develop and grow over the years, which would not have been possible without your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lee

Our school's vision: We exist to increase the number of college ready graduates in North Forest. We work hard to make sure this is a reality. With such a push towards college readiness, I want my students to be able to visualize where education can take them once they leave the halls of our school. We need pennants to help serve as a reminder that there are no limits to where they can go. We also need basic school materials, white boards, and math manipulatives (something we did not have access to last year). These will be a game changer in my classroom to ensure we can reach all learners.
