  • We Can't Survive Without Math!

    Funded Aug 16, 2012

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! We use the dry erase markers every single day! My students work out problems and practice presenting to one another. I have noticed that their speaking and listening skills have tremendously increased!

I would also like to thank you for the snacks. Food is very motivating for my students and I have had several students comment that they are thankful that they know they can come to me if the are hungry. It also provides a special incentive for students who struggle with attending to a lesson.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Linning

  • Mathmania

    Funded Feb 14, 2011

Thank you so much for the contribution to our classroom! The snacks you donated were very helpful to satisfy my students grumbling bellies. In addition, the students were able to purchase snacks with thier school "Baxter Bucks" that they receive for good behavior.

Several students commented that their favorite thing about my class is that if they are hungry they have several opportunities to earn snacks and that it helps them concentrate. The students loved the variety of snacks! Having class snacks also brought up many important conversations about eating a proper diet and getting an adequate amount of rest.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Linning

  • Mathtastic

    Funded Oct 24, 2010

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! From the time the packages showed up in my classroom, my students were anxious to see what was in the boxes! They were very excited to see what new books our classroom would have! My students take turns checking the books out so they can read them outside of the classroom as well. The Madlibs were used as prizes in a daily drawing we do to reward students who are on task. In addition, we have been able to use the assortment of balls several times when going outside for the much needed physical activity break.

The students love using the new markers and colored pencils! Our notes have never looked better! The bins help organize the materials that the students use daily.

Thank you again for your donation!

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Linning

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! From the time the package showed up in my classroom, my students were anxious to see what was in the boxes! They quickly helped me assemble the lamp! The lamp has been very helpful in lighting the darkly like corner of my classroom. Several students have commented that the lamp allows them to see their work better. The students also really enjoyed the new expo markers! Our old ones were drying out and made it difficult for them to see.

In addition, my students have earned some of the snacks that you provided as part of my positive behavior support program. The snacks encourage them to be on-task especially when their bellies are grumbling! We are still waiting for the exercise balls and hope they ship soon. I have told the students about them and they are greatly anticipating their arrival! ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Linning

Many of my students come from broken homes and have a difficult time excelling in the demanding academic environment I have created. I am here to show them that learning can be fun, exciting and rewarding. I believe in rewarding positive behavior. It is difficult for my students to learn when they are hungry or tired. Unfortunately, my students are often hungry and tired!
