All of my English Language Learners need to learn and improve their language skills since their primary language is different. Some of my students are new to the country and don't know any English, some students have been in the country for at least a year, and some students have never even attended school before in their native country! I need a variety of materials to help my ELL students acquire and improve their English language skills. Students will have fun while learning beginning, middle, and ending sounds using the Pop and Math Phonics games. Students will take turns in small groups finding letters to complete words on their game cards that will reinforce their phonics skills in acquiring new vocabulary. Students will use the Flip and Read sight-word sentence activity game with a partner to practice and master different sight-words using pictures to help them build and read sentences. The Sight-Words Instant Learning Center is a ready to use center that students can explore on their own to master high-frequency words. Students will build simple, sight-word sentences with the Magnetic Sight-Word Sentence board to help them build and improve vocabulary and reading fluency. The Sight-Word Seashell game and Sight-Word Bingo can be used in a small or large group setting that will make learning fun while reinforcing new words being learned! The Magnetic Sound Sorting Boards will be use to practice phonemic awareness with beginning, ending, and rhyming word concepts in a small group with the teacher. The Phonics Flip Books can be used whole class to help students learn and review specific spelling patterns with short and long vowels and blends and digraphs. By donating to this project, you will be helping my ELL students learn new vocabulary to communicate with their peers and expand their knowledge.
