Yoga and Movement for Stronger Bodies and Minds.
Funded Jan 29, 2018We are very grateful for your donation of yoga mats. Since winter has been with us for most of March, we have utilized your donation with yoga and movement time in the classroom. Each student safely moves on his/her mat and after we use all of our energy we take a few moments to rest our bodies and minds to be ready for the rest of our day. We enjoy our yoga songs and practicing our poses. We are learning to self regulate our energy and know when to use high energy and low energy.
I am so grateful to have the opportunity to teach yoga and yoga techniques, both poses and breathing to my students. There are so many benefits to yoga most importantly, it is fun!
Thank you for your generosity and your dedication to my students.”

Create and Explore While On the Floor!
Funded Sep 14, 2017Your donation has provided the finishing touches to our classroom environment as well as a creative base for the students to build. The blue rug is a perfect addition to our comfy corner and library, it matches our blue chairs perfectly. The road rug is a great foundation in our block area for the children to create and build.
The blue braided rug is a nice quiet time spot for a student to read a book or work on a puzzle. The students always know if they need some quiet time, they can sit on the blue rug and choose a book. The area is soothing and calming which our students enjoy throughout the day.
Our road rug allows students to be creative while exploring different shapes and symbols found on the rug. They create towns, cities and zoos. We can't wait to see what else they continue to create on this colorful and inviting rug.
We all appreciate your generosity and dedication to students and classrooms.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Lucin
