  • Books to Read in Our Hammocks!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

My kids are loving their new books! Now they have a choice and we have a variety of levels. They actually ask if they can read a new book!

We are using these books everyday during our DEAR time- drop everything and read! When a kids picks a book, the other kids tell them if it's a good book and want to tell them all about it!

This week, even though it's Winter, was nice enough to go outside and read in our hammocks. This made it extra special! Now they want to go outside and read everyday.

Thanks for making this dream come true!

I appreciate your generosity so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nash

  • Social And Emotional Support Post Covid-19

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

My kiddos were so excited when they saw our packages come in! They said who bought us all this! We use our cover boards daily. They feel like they have their own little office! The STEM items were also a big hit. They love exploring with them.

Our new books have been so fun. Each day they want a new book to read. They've really started to enjoy reading and look forward to it everyday! I'm so thankful for this project. I think I get as excited as they do using all our new and fun items. We appreciate your donation so much! Thanks for supporting our classroom!”

  • Covid Won't Stop Us From Succeeding in Math and Reading!

    Funded Nov 5, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to fund our project for a classroom rug and lots and lots of books. The rug has given my students a place to sit as a group for my lessons on the smart board and for small and whole class lessons. Now they have a cozy spot to sit and read their books they have chosen to read each day.

Also, thanks for all the books! It allowed me to purchase books on different levels so all kids have books to choose from. Not all kids read on the same level so now they have lots of choices! They love the variety of books we have in our classroom library now. Thanks for making my kids feel successful in my classroom!”

  • Let's Get Charged for Learning!

    Funded Oct 28, 2022

Wow is all I can say! These chargers have made such an impact on our learning in our classroom! Our charging stations are soo neat and organized. The cords are not in a huge mess in a pile in a crate. Each student has an assigned number for their charger. They know exactly where their spot is to keep it charged and ready to go. Everyday one of their jobs is to plug their chromebook in so it will be charged and ready for the next day. It saves us so much time since they don't have to search for a cord to plug it in. Every morning they are ready to start learning with their charged chromebook. Thank you so much donors for these amazing charging stations!”

  • We Need Basic Supplies to Survive!

    Funded Feb 7, 2022

Thank you so much for your support for my project! We are using these basic supplies daily. Due to weather, we have had several days of inside recess. Instead of watching a movie, they were able to play with all the new reading games, math games, and STEM activities. They have had a blast! They no longer dread when we have to stay in at recess!

The colored copy paper I received I use every week. I use the different colors for my newsletters, snack calendars, and cafeteria menu. These schedules go home in their binders. Each week I concentrate on a story. It requires a lot of journal writing, so the colored paper allows the writing prompts to be on bright colors.

They look forward to writing more due to it being more colorful!

The pencils, glue sticks, crayons, paint, paint brushes, etc. have really been helpful. They enjoy having all the supplies they

need right there in the classroom!

Thanks again for funding our project. It has made such a big impact in our classroom!”

  • Seat Sacks for Safety and Organization

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

My students were so excited to receive our seat sacks. I told them a few weeks ago we were going to be getting them. They saw the box in my room and said, "Is that our seat sacks?" When they opened the box they said it is them!! We put them on their chairs right away! They have helped so much with time on task in my class. Before we had to go plug them every time we were done using them. Now we can just turn around and grab them throughout the day! My kids think it's the best thing ever! Thanks so much for everyone's help in getting this project funded. We love our seat sacks!”

  • Developing a Love of Reading Part 2

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

I cannot thank you enough for donating to our project! My kids now look forward to DIRT (daily, independent, reading time), everyday! We have a variety of books on different reading levels now. Every kid reads on different levels so they now have several on their level to choose from. My kids are even asking if they can take them home to read! It's so awesome to see my second graders excited about reading! I'm hoping I've instilled a love of reading that will last a lifetime! Thanks to donors like you I know it's a possibility! Thanks so much for everything!”

  • Developing a Love of Reading

    Funded Sep 7, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to our book project! I cannot describe to you the smile on their faces when they saw all of our new books! They wanted to read them all the day we received them. Our D.i.R.T. (Daily, independent, reading, time), has been so much better. They're excited to look through our reading tubs and find new books on their levels. It has not been a struggle to get them to read silently everyday. I believe their reading skills will improve because of your donation to our project. We couldn't be more grateful!!”

  • Second Grade Money Bags

    Funded Sep 6, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to our telling time and counting money project. They were so excited when the box arrived.

As soon as they opened the box, they wanted to play the games. They loved them all! Now when they finish their work they can go to a center and practice their money and telling time skills. Counting money is a hard concept for second graders but this has really helped! Thanks again for making this happen!! Now they get excited when we have to count change and practice telling time on our small clocks. Each kid now has their own individual clock! Learning can be so fun!”

  • Clickety Clack Kids That Type

    Funded Mar 1, 2019

Thank you so much for supporting my students with this Chromebook. Since receiving this Chromebook, my students have been able to listen to our stories that we have in our reader. This has been especially great for my reluctant students who don't like to read. They love listening to the story first and then they like to read it by themselves.

My students have also used this Chromebook for extra math practice. I let my students have extra time practicing their math facts and other math skills. This has improved my math scores and my students enjoy math more.

Another way we have used this Chromebook is to practice keyboarding skills. This has been helpful for my students because it has improved their accuracy and has helped with decoding and sight-reading skills.

Thank you again for helping my students. We wouldn't have this Chromebook without your support.”
