  • We Can Hear The Story!

    Thank you so much for funding our class project. The children in my class absolutely love listening to stories, so the audio books was truly something they use daily. Our class is made up up different cultures and ethnicities, so I try to get the children a variety of books show casing this. Some of our children are just learning the language, so listening to stories helps strengthen their language skills. Once I showed them how to use these materials, the children gravitated to it and now set up the equipment (headphones, speaker) on their own.

  • Fix Our Easel!

    Thank you so much for your donation to our class. We use the easels everyday! The students love working with them in groups, at the rug, and even at their own station. In our meeting area our students are now becoming the "teacher" and using it as a tool to teach and read off of in the class. We display our morning message on it, charts, magnetic words and problems that the students can come up to the board to fix. They love coming up to the easel everyday. Our smaller board is extremely useful for smaller groups at the kidney table. I love that it collapses because I sometimes bring it to a group rather than them coming to me. The students have also used it to write on, make words, and use letter tiles. We use this daily as well...it is a part of our day.

    The students were overjoyed when they first saw the size of the easel! They couldn't believe we got it since our old one was falling apart. They love that it has lines on it because this helps them write straight and neat. They also love that I wheel it around at times and use it as a teaching tool. It has truly been incredibly helpful throughout the day. The shelf is great! It holds all the things I need that goes with the lesson. We are truly thankful for your generosity and appreciate it greatly!”

  • We Need Books!

    Thank you so much for funding my project. Our class was so excited to hear about all the new books we will soon be getting. They love to read, especially about animals. This will certainly engage our students more since many of our books have been used, ripped and have missing pages. It will be so nice for them to see vibrant photos and read some new books. The materials I am requesting for my students would be used daily. Our current easel is broken and somewhat dangerous for students. It falls and could cause harm to students if it were to fall on them. The mobile easel would be a great asset in class. I would be able to move to a group with the easel rather than having students leave their station. My class would greatly benefit from both of these materials since we would use them daily. The large easel would be used to display morning messages, phonics work and could be used for the students to write on. It is double sided so a chart holder could be attached with the rings and the shelf would help hold tools needed for the board. Our class would love to work on a brand new easel.
