Access to text is one of the greatest factors in whether a child is a strong reader and whether they enjoy reading. In a small district, classroom library books are often difficult to afford. Some of the books we have are old, outdated, or for the wrong age group. I want to revive my classroom library and provide new, appropriate, high-interest books to share with my students. One of my greatest joys as an English teacher is reading and sharing books with my students. I sometimes do mini-book clubs or read-alongs with students who like to talk about what they read. I would also like a library of books for classroom assignments and daily reading.
