  • School Garden And Stem Activities

    Funded Jan 21, 2023

Thank you so much for donating all the wonderful Science supplies. My kindergarten students have been wearing their new safety goggles while do various experiments. My 1st and 4th graders have been exploring with our new STEM activity kits. They are really enjoying learning about how engineers build and design new products that could make our lives easier each and everyday.

We also started planting and have been observing our new hydroponics machine in the classroom. It is so exciting to see how lettuce and tomatoes can grow right in front of our eyes. We will transfer the plants to our school garden and continue to plant more seeds and decorate the area with the rocks we painted. Next week, we will also move our chrysalides to the butterfly habitat. These experiences had made the children love Science class and want them to continue to learn more. I am grateful to provide these opportunities to our students. Once again, this would not be possible without your generosity and support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Flynn

  • Our International Rainbow Growing Garden

    Funded Nov 4, 2021

I am so grateful for your donation for our Global Rainbow Garden. Now that the weather is starting to get warmer the students and I unpacked the materials.

They were so excited to see our new garden beds. The eagerly took them out of the box, read the directions and put them together as a group. Once it was complete we brought the garden beds out to the garden and discussed when we could add soil and plant the vegetable seeds. Each week, we will continue to add to our garden and watch our plants grow.

Our next step, will be doing research on the computer and learn about how to grow the seeds properly. Creating this garden will teach the students to use these skills in the future and to give back to the community. Our goal is to design a vegetable stand and have a farmers market.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Flynn
